With the mandate to continuously build capacity and deepen the concept of Green Bonds in the Nigerian DCM, FMDQ Securities Exchange PLC (“FMDQ”), Climate Bonds Initiative (“CBI”) and Financial Sector Deepening Africa (“FSD Africa”) organised a Green Bond Masterclass for Capital Market Intermediaries at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, July 25, 2019.
The session was targeted at capital market intermediaries with the aim of educating participants on their strategic roles in the development of a vibrant local non-sovereign Green Bond Market. The Masterclass also created a platform to discuss Green Bonds verification and certification process given that capital markets intermediaries are agents of issuers in the debt capital markets (“DCM”).
